Being afraid of heights can be a challenge for me and my sister. Apparently in our childhood all the trips to the Rockies must have caused us to fear high places.
So here I am looking up to the top of the Illinois State Capitol and I would never believe that someone could go up there and change the flags and do repairs or whatever they do way up there.
Well it is also scary for us to live here on earth without looking up to a heavenly Father. God gives us so many promises and asks so little of us in return. He asks that we love him, love others as much and spread the story of the gospel to all the ends of the earth.
Have you looked to your Heavenly Father today – have you been in conversation with him and looked up to the heavens to praise him. If you read this and you haven’t – take a moment and read his word and thank him for this blessed day.
Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
26 God began by making one man, and from him he made all the different people who live everywhere in the world. He decided exactly when and where they would live.
27 “God wanted people to look for him, and perhaps in searching all around for him, they would find him. But he is not far from any of us. 28 It is through him that we are able to live, to do what we do, and to be who we are. As your own poets have said, ‘We all come from him.’
