Lighthouse - Storms of Life

Jesus Calms a Storm at Sea

Jesus can calm any storm in your life.  Just believe!!!

When the sailors were lost or there was a storm, the lighthouse provided a light to direct them to safety.  As the sailors, when we are going through the Storms of Life – God is our lighthouse and he will direct us to safety.

If you’re going through a storm, be wise, grab hold of God’s Word and hang on for dear life. The wind may blow and the rain may pour upon your spiritual house (your soul) but if you stand firm you will not fall.

If a storm is brewing in your life right now do not fear but rather have faith. If Jesus can calm a violent storm at sea then He can certainly calm any storm you’re going through. Your storm may be in the form of a sickness, as we mentioned earlier. It may be an emotional upset or something so troubling that you can’t even bare to talk about it. Whatever it is, God wants you to know that He can take care of it. He can calm the raging seas of your soul.

I want you to know that I do not always believe this, I am strong in faith, but my flesh is weak and I doubt God sometimes, but I continue to pray and give him my troubles.  He is calming my soul through my trials and tribulations.  He can do the same for you.

Mark 4:37-39

37 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. 38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”

39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!”Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

Let’s raise our voices today and praise the Lord for all the great things he has done in our lives.

Amen.
